Thread Support in Qt

    https://doc.qt.io/archives/3.3/threads.html
Qt provides thread support in the form of basic platform-independent threading classes, a thread-safe way of posting events, and a global Qt library lock that allows you to call Qt methods from different threads. This document is intended for an audience that has knowledge of, and experience with, multithreaded applications.

python - PyQt4 Error: Make sure you have a working Qt ...

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46570466/pyqt4-error-make-sure-you-have-a-working-qt-qmake-on-your-path
qmake is the name of Qt's build tool, which generates Makefiles or other files needed to compile code on any platform that Qt supports. To fix this, you need to find out where the qmake executable lives on your system.. If you know where the executable installed, just add that directory to your path. If you don't know, you'll have to find it somehow, by searching your computer.

Why does QT4.8.2(Build Debug Libraries) Stop ... - Qt Forum

    https://forum.qt.io/topic/17509/why-does-qt4-8-2-build-debug-libraries-stop-because-of-no-rule-to-make-target-qt-4-8-2-win-xp-mingw/4
Apparently, it installs still the older Qt 4.8.1 version. Probably, you can live with that. However, since you have downloaded and installed already qt-win-opensource-4.8.2-mingw.exe, it should be recognized by the maintenance tool. So, you should have for MinGW at least 2 readily compiled versions of Qt (4.8.1 and 4.8.2) installed.
