Jan 31, 2009 · MPT is fusion mpt, it's what LSI calls their SCSI/SAS, 1064 is the chipset on SAS3041. For non-hardware RAID, you need RAID driver in OS to make the array appear as single disk. I have an IBM x3200 M3 server running SBS2011. This server has an LSI SAS1063e controller (the basic BR10il RAID controller that comes with that system).
