That's not a mistake, the first Left 4 Dead 2 leads on to a folder of the different language versions of the game, you want the english one, which is just Left 4 Dead 2. TC the addon support is vital to run addons, so you would have needed it anyway. I'm not sure what's going on with you, as any custom campaign I've downloaded works fine.

Make a new folder inside the 'addons' directory, and give it an appropriate name. This new folder will be the name of the .VPK file you'll ultimately create and distribute, so it's good practice to avoid spaces and use all lowercase letters.

Install addon support if you haven't already.If the maps you already have before you install addon support don't show or are not working.....simply reinstall them by double clicking them again.If they don't work from there you will need to delete them...redownload and reinstall them from scratch.

Jan 02, 2012 · to install mods simply set the files from that mod in the L4D2 map in steam. Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2. since Steam does not support mods itself you need to make sure that you yourself place it in the right map.
