Jun 14, 2009 · Kindle DX offers comprehensive support for most PDF format features. It’s probably as good as it can get taking into consideration hardware limitations. Lack of zoom, pan, link and table of contents support are a major minus that renders some PDF files unusable to one degree or another.

Jul 08, 2012 · Hello, can somebody please help me concerning a problem with Kindle DX reader (software 2.5.8). Opening pdf files frequently is not possible and Kindle comments as follows: "This pdf cannot be opened due to embedded features not yet supported by Kindle".

May 11, 2011 · Kindle DX PDF Support Limitations Amazon Kindle. I think these may all be related to the missing 5-way capability. However, for annotation and highlighting there is the additional issue of how to specify a location in the PDF accurately.

Jan 28, 2010 · I transferred them onto the Kindle DX via the USB cable and it mounted like an external drive. A simple drag and drop to the documents folder and unmount was all it took. All the PDF’s displayed on the main screen of the Kindle. The problem with the 6″ devices is that PDF support is not very good because of the eInk screen size.
