    Keil tech support also just got back to me and said to try calling osKernelinitialize() to stop any scheduler events as long as I did not make a system wait call. That idea did not help. Because the microsemi cortex m3 does a flash freeze I cannot use the debugger at all so this turns into a black box to me once the ISP FPGA reprogramming begins.

    This is due to fact that the evaluation version of Keil ARM MDK-Lite has a code size limit of 32kB. The code size of the examples in the nRF5 SDK for Mesh exceeds this limit and we have therefore chosen not to add support for Keil, but selected GCC and Segger Embedded Studio, which does not have any code size limitations.     If he called Keil Tech Support - he would have been informed. This has not been supported by Keil MDK for many years. Keil uVision currently supports ULINK2, ULINK-ME, ULINK pro, ULINK plus, Segger J-Link, J-Trace, and any CMSIS-DAP (there are many out there under various brand names) and of course ST ST-Link V2.
