May 14, 2013 · The new Canon SL1 is truly remarkable especially for travel. Unfortunately iPhoto 11 does not yet recognize the CR2 files. Until Apple does an upgrade the easiest work around is to either take only L (jpg) images or use Digital Photo Professional (Canon software) then select all-under Edit, then transfer to Photoshop-under Tools.

Oct 18, 2018 · The availability of RAW files on your Mac depends on a few conditions: If you have the Download Originals to this Mac option turned on in Photos (Photos > Preferences > iCloud > Download Originals to this Mac), then your RAW files are always present in Photos on your Mac.

Dec 16, 2015 · CR2 Raw files from Canon 7D11 not supported by Microsoft Photo App I cannot open CR2 photo Files (raw files) in my pc that I have copied from my Canon 7D11 camera using Microsoft Photo App. I can see the Photo app icon but when I try to open the photo files it states that this application does not support these files.

May 24, 2011 · I'm still being daft. Shooting in Raw + Jpeg - download camera to iPhoto. Finish with two images CR2 and JPEG with same number next to each other . Add keyword CR2 and split into two events. Now want to move the Raw files to another version of iPhoto on external hard drive. Select all in the Raw CR2 event and export to a new folder on desk top. ...

May 27, 2008 · RAW files from a variety of Canon cameras are handled natively in iPhoto 06 and iPhoto 08. You can edit them in iPhoto (the edited file being saved as a jpeg, leaving the RAW original untouched so you can go back to it and do different adjustments later) or open them in an external editor to manipulate them (e.g. PS).

Jun 09, 2017 · Drag & drop exports a reduced resolution jpeg into the 'drop' target. The external editor feature sends the master file for the image to the external editor. [I think if you have done iPhoto adjustments to a raw file, the external editor receives full size tiff file, with the iPhoto adjustments baked in]
