One other note, even Intels SSD toolbox would not work correctly with this horrible X79 chipset. In fact, I started out with a single Intel SSD drive installed in this machine and was disppointed with the performance so I moved to a RAID 0 setup, this is how I initially found out about the RAID 0 trim issue.
