In July 2015, HP Connected Photo app is being replaced by a second generation app from Snapfish in limited countries. On Windows 8.1+ devices , HP Connected Photo will be replaced with the Snapfish app when you update the app through the Store app or have auto-update enabled.

HP uses the same login info for both the ePrint Center (now called HP Connected) and Snapfish. I have attached a screen shot that explains this shared use that I had on my PC after I logged in (I too had a Snapfish account and did have to use my Snapfish password to login to ePrint/HP Connected).

The options that you have, would be to have snapfish delete your account, or use a different email address to register to ePrint. To delete the snapfish account, you would have to contact snapfish directly. I have included the link to 'Contacting Customer Support' for snapfish. Regards.
