May 13, 2019 · One more time: CONFIG_HIGH_RES_TIMERS only enables the upper-half of the framework. By itself this is not sufficient to obtain better resolutions. The bottom half is a driver for the (faster) timer hardware. One more time: All you have to do is use the kernel configuration sama5_defconfig, and you will automatically have 1ns high resolution timers.
