Oct 06, 2012 · The GTX 570 is plenty good for my gaming needs, I just would prefer the cooler, less power-intensive GTX 660 TI or 670. I've just read a lot of mixed reports of the 6xx in OS X...granted most of it stems from FCPX issues (which doesn't affect me). Still, I'm leaning towards getting a cheap, used 570 on eBay or waiting for better 660 TI support.

Jul 30, 2017 · If you are using the latest Pascal Graphic Cards i.e. GTX 1050 / 1060 / 1070 / 1080 you will need to be using Sierra 10.12.4 or later. If you are using an old graphics card like a GTX 650 / 660 / 670 / 680 you will not need Web Drivers as there is native support baked in from once upon a time Apple was using Nvidia cards in their Mac’s.

Jun 19, 2015 · I have purchased a second hand ASUS GTX 670 2GB which I am planning on using in my first Hackintosh build. According to ASUS this card has no UEFI support but it can be added with a Firmware update. Since I have not been able to find a ROM image for this card in order to flash it for Mac boot screen support I am assuming that it cannot be done?

GTX 670? Have you changed out the thermal paste and/or thermal pads on it? It could help lower the temps thus making it less loud. For Hackintosh, I'd go with any RX graphics cards since support is already there and you don't need to wait for web drivers.

You’ll need a graphics card in your hackintosh if you want working sleep/sleep wake. I recommend everyone getting a graphics card to have the ability to sleep there hackintosh as well as the increased stability over an Intel iGPU.
