    Jul 20, 2014 · I'm afraid Clark's advice doesn't help in this case, the DWORD value: MaximumAttachmentSize only works for Exchange accounts in Outlook, the user is using IMAP anyway. Go to the Web mail site to see if there are any mail stuck in any folders, delete it if there is.

    This has resulted in my finding a handfull of messages (some from 10 years ago) that included large attachments. I have deleted ALL of these messages and have emptied my trash. Nonetheless, I continue to receive a continuous stream of errors messages, all saying "Message too large = 8770".
