I forgot to add you can't just have it point at another version of GDAL if that is what you are asking. In theory all you need to do that is copy raster2pgsql.exe into your GDAL folder and make a copy of gdal19.dll to libgdal-1.dll.

I am trying to add ECW support into Geoserver 2.1.1 (also tried 1.7.7) but no luck so far. Does anyone have a step by step guide to add the ECW support ? (the one. The gdal 1.6 distributed with osgeo4w is supporting ECW. I know to read ecw is however necessary to download the codec from erdas site. But now it seem that download and install of ecw codec is not sufficient to open ecw with qgis-dev. Seem the gdal-ecw is missing for gdal 1.7.
