These settings are going to be used when responding to PASV client requests. The passive IP address should be the external IP address of your firewall, NAT, reverse proxy, or other routing device.

Dec 24, 2016 · Hi Robert, Thanks for the reply. I figured out a different way of doing it in the end, it's not ideal but its a workaround and it works :) I just removed my external IP address from the IIS firewall settings, and changed the connection type in my FTP client to active over passive.
