If you know Jack Elam only as the heavy, you really ought to watch this. Without him, this movie would not be nearly as funny. Of course, Mel Brooks' similar `Blazing Saddles' is better remembered today, but I feel that `Support Your Local Sheriff!' is the more successful film.7.5/10
