Dec 29, 2009 · A while ago we fitted a boiler with a vertical flue, nothing hard in that i know.However British Gas had quoted something like 4grand. We did the job for 2grand . They have come out to carry out annual check and want to condemn boiler because the flue in the loft is not supported. They say if its not done innext two weeks they will condemn boiler.

He stated that due to new regulations, my flue (in the loft) required two brackets, but only had one. Anyone know what regs he was referring to? Is this just speculative nonsense so that BG can quote to have another bracket fitted?
