I am using a Legacy BIOS that doesn't support 3TB hard drives. When I install the hard drive and boot with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit it shows the drive space available for installing as 2048GB and 746GB on 'Disk 0'.

Apr 08, 2005 · With some BIOS's there's a setting to either enable or disable "legacy USB support". What does that mean? Is it related to USB1.1 vs. USB2? Is it related to PnP (plug and play)? I've always read that, for running Linux, I'm supposed to disable PnP (that is, answer "no" to the question in the BIOS, "Is OS Plug-and-play aware?"), so that's what I do.

Mar 11, 2013 · Go into the BIOS (delete key on boot) and in integrated peripherals section make sure the 2 Jmicron AHCI are set to enabled. The first one listed should be for the eSATA (#7) but enable both to be on the safe side as it would not be the first time a manual listed the SATA ports incorrectly.
