I agree with the points above, completely. However, if the support is bent in, and it didn't pull the surrounding structure inward with it, then a straight pull back out should fix the issue. No, probably wont ever be RIGHT again, but will probably work. Are you headlights angled in, if so, then the issue is probably to is too severe bother with.

Dec 18, 2013 · If the damage is severe (torn, twisted heavily, dented beyond straightening etc) the core support will need to be replaced. The core support is welded on, meaning replacement will require cutting the old one off and welding in the replacement panel (it is available separately for this purpose).5/5(8.7K)

Feb 08, 2007 · The only thing you should try to heat to fix should be plastic parts, in my opinion. When you heat up the metal to repair it, it will weaken the metal and no longer be as safe. By core support, do you mean radiator support or the Apron assembly. If its the radiator support, you could probably cut and weld a new one in yourself.

Jul 08, 2008 · The absolute best thing to do would be to take it apart, get measurements from a non-damaged car, remove the damaged upper support and gently push out the inner fender aprons to the correct width and then weld in the replacement upper support. It'll make a better repair and you'll be much happier with the results. FuzzFace2
