Dec 10, 2019 · When I try to edit a video I have recorded with my game capture application and then try and edit it on Expression Encoder it doesn't even let me import it because it says that he file type is not recognised when I had a look he file type it will accept is .avi and not .mp4 (the file type I was trying to use) so please can you tell me how to fix this.

Microsoft's Expression Encoder 4 is the awesome sauce that converts my digital movies into Silverlight's SmoothStreaming format. In other words, I have my own adaptive streaming "netflix" service. Might do a bit on that later. But, problem enters that I couldn't import an MP4 video source, just MPG, AVI, etc.
