As many can see in the current high ranking games, supports have either been taking exhaust or ignite. Ignite can be taken as a support to increase kill pressure and lane and in late game teamfights, but gives the chance that one particular enemy that is fed to destroy the fight.

Jan 25, 2016 · If you are skilled at all at the support you are playing, always take ignite as support with any kill potential whatsoever unless they have a diver that gets shut down hard by exhaust. (Zed, Yasuo, etc.) Exhaust is completely useless in lane and doesn't work well on targets with sustained/repeated damage(Ahri, ADCs, etc.)

Jun 03, 2014 · Exhaust - when protecting Ignite - when going in If you need to protect your carry a lot then exhaust is better. If you have a carry with some selfpeel and strong early and you are going an all-in support, go ignite. That's what I think at least.

Mar 30, 2017 · Exhaust lost power in the bottom lane after they removed the AS slow from it, it's still a good spell but less disruptive against an ADC opening the possibility to run ignite instead. Ignite is good for kill pressure and later used to get the jump on a sustain champions like Vlad and Swain that are making their appearance in the competitive meta.

Ignite is currently the best summoner for support exception would be Soraka who takes barrier. BUT with the meta right now where many ppl blindpick Assassins and Hard Burst Bruiser like Cam Ire I have been going Exhaust to. Even more so with the resurgence of YI Xin and Graves.

Mar 07, 2016 · I generally opt for Exhaust over Ignite if the enemy is highly dependent on Attack Speed or if they have someone like Zed who can easily get in, burst my ADC and then get out again. Exhaust helps to mitigate the damage somewhat and make it easier to CC him.

Aug 31, 2013 · Ignite if you have good CC and you can rely on your ADC to chain their CC with you. Exhaust if that is not the case and you don't feel confident in your ADC. Situationally you may want ignite as either way, such as a Fiddlesticks support on the enemy team.
