Aug 31, 2019 · We offer an online support group for former and current United Pentecostal and other Apostolic church members. We do not limit the support group to these groups and have members who are from various other church organizations. In addition, we consider family members and friends of current or ex-UPC/apostolic members who are seeking help.

My name is Jenni, and I’m a recovering Pentecostal. If you haven’t been involved in one of the more extreme “fringe” varieties of the Charismatic / Pentecostal movement, the idea of “recovering” from it might strike you as a little odd.

Feb 14, 2007 · I am now ex UPCI. We moved to a church not in the UPCI. We do not abide by many of the outward dress codes of the UPCI. Many of the hardliners of standards in the UPCI are no longer in any church from over the years and not serving God. I believe the UPCI and the churches use the Come out and be seperate issue to try and control it's members.

Jan 11, 2010 · I grew up Pentecostal: I'm ex-UPCI, to be precise. I wouldn't be surprised to see a strong correlation between anxiety-based disorders and a Pentecostal upbringing. Pentecostalism is a mentally exhausting denomination: depending on what particular sect you're raised in, keeping your head above the waters is almost impossible.

Jan 02, 2007 · Actually, I DO go to a Christian forum daily, I just remembered it. I joined five years ago, when I was a fundy and in the UPCI. There's a forum called GodPlace for UPCI members, and I still go by there. The amusing thing is I post there more often now that I'm out; now that my brain is working, I'm no longer timid to speak my mind about issues.
