Dec 07, 2007 · You do not need that setting because Firefox only has one kind of support for XHR: native support. If XHR is not working, then it might be restricted by your script settings or the NoScript extension.

Aug 15, 2017 · The code you are using should work fine in IE7 to determine that the "Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked. You can set the IE's document mode to check this issue. It seems that the window.XMLHttpRequest is always working on IE 8 and IE8+ no matter that the Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked or not.

To fix this issue the user will need to enable native XMLHTTP support by going to: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, scrolling down to security and ticking the box next to Enable Native XMLHTTP Support, then click OK.

Mar 10, 2011 · Opened IE and logged into admin CMS [email me for login details] while "Native XMLHttpRequest Support" is disabled. Found the browser fell back to old XML parser "Microsoft.XMLHTTP." If enabled and installed, IE would use MSXML6 [ MSXML2 .XMLHTTP].
