Jan 30, 2019 · It is for this reason that we have had to make the decision to cease ongoing support of DirectX10 in the same way we had to stop supporting the now 17 years old DirectX9. We have made available a branch of the DX10 game client in Steam. This branch will not be updated beyond this point. You can find instruction on how to use it here.

Mar 02, 2018 · FSX:SE has limited DX10 support built in. That's why it really needs the DX10 fixer to even work nice with DX10. It can only use the DX features that are built into it, no matter what other DX versions are on your PC.

DTG are a bit reluctant to offer Win 10 support so there is an assumption DX9 is already present. For some DX10 isn't an option, with or without the fixer.
