DVD Shrink does support multiple cores, and if 1 or more of the available cores (depending on whether you have a dual or quad-core system) is not being utilized, you can correct this doing the following:

First of all DVD Shrink is a transcoder to shrink movie DVDs, using the Nero engine for automatic burning is just a bonus. Having said that, DVD Shrink works under Vista but Nero only from version 7.x and higher. If you insist on using bloatware but can't get it to work, uninstall both Shrink and Nero and reinstall (not just copy over exes!)

Mar 22, 2007 · open disc in dvdshrink after it is loaded click on the drop down box below the word video-it normally has automatic as default- click to no comression then hit backup- it will say disc is too large but click ok because if you have a dl burner and disc it will do just find- hope you using verbatim dvd because they are the best by far

Mar 26, 2012 · The question is what size do I shrink it to in DVD Shrink? It doesn't have a default setting for dual layer discs from what I can see and from past experience the size of the disc in the bar at the top of shrink is never the same as the file that is actually created after the process.
