Whenever I’m able to have a secondary monitor connected, I like to use VirtualBox’s multiple monitor support to show my VM on both of my screens. VirtualBox achieves this look by opening two windows - each window meant to be maximized on one of the two monitors.

Aug 19, 2008 · I currently have Sun Virtual box installed on a 64 bit server 2008 host. I am running vista 32 bit as the guest OS because Cisco does not offer a 64-bit VPN client. Does anyone know if it is possible to run virtual vista in dual screen mode? This would be very helpful since I have dual monitors attached to the host system and dual monitors at work.

Presumably "System settings" doesn't look quite like the first screen-shot, since you said that the clone option ("Unify outputs"?) was greyed out. I do still tend to the idea that this is a graphical interface configuration issue, not a VirtualBox one.
