When I loaded Cubase LE I got the message "The currently installed soundcard driver does not support Direct Sound Input. Recording audio is not possible." Aug 29, 2011 · i just bought the tascam us1800 that comes with cubase le5. after installing the driver for the interface i loaded up cubase with no problems. but upon starting up cubase for the first time i got this message, "the currently installed soundcard driver does not support direct sound input.recording audio is not possible".

Jun 02, 2009 · Thanks, this was a stopgap solution that worked for me, but would depend on compatibility with the soundcard inside the computer. There are various audio drivers on the Realtek website, but people with other sound cards such as Asus may have problems if their cards are not supported in Windows 7.
