In both these situations, VMware would report each VM to still have plenty of free memory, even under load, simply because Domino prevents itself from using all memory in case allocations are required by other tasks or component if usage patterns change over time. Domino, as a 32-bit application, would use at most 2.5 to 3 GB of RAM.
