Apr 28, 2019 · Hi, It looks like KDE’s file manager Dolphin doesn’t support MTP under CentOS 7.When I plug in an MTP device like my Nikon camera or an Android phone, Digikam shows its content OK, but Dolphin seems to ignore it.

For file managers that use KIO (KDE's Dolphin), MTP support is included in kio-extras (dependency of dolphin). After installing the required package, the device should show up in the file manager automatically and be accessible via an URL, for example mtp://[usb:002,013]/. gvfs-mtp.

Make sure your device is unlocked and has MTP enabled in its USB connection settings" The device is recognised as MTP as I see from the logs, Device 0 (VID=04e8 and PID=6860) is a Samsung Galaxy models (MTP). edit: googling this issue, looks like Dolphin bug since years ago, oh well: crap. issue solved by installing the go-mtpfs

Jul 15, 2009 · For now I got a problem with my mp3-Player (Sony NWZ-A828). It is mounted by MTP, so just Amarok can use it. (He can only read the music files) Is it possible, to give Dolphin support for MTP devices, so you can transfer data just as a stick / portable HD?
