Nov 04, 2011 · *We recently changed our ISP to xtra. We found out afterwards they do not support “imap”, only “pop”, for mail. *We need imap so that we can synchronize our 2 mac computers. Its not possible with pop. We use mac "mail". *Telecom does not support imap. However we have been told that people have managed to set it up.

Nov 04, 2007 · Setting up IMAP for xtra I use Outlook Express on Windows XP and use POP for receiving messages. I have downloaded Evolution and set it up as per my Outlook Express settings ie [email protected] and I can receive e-mails from my xtra account.

Jan 20, 2017 · Does anyone know if Xtra are using SMX pop servers yet? or is this still Yahoo's? Yes it looks like they have been switched over to SMX. pop3.xtra.co.nz is an alias for pop3.tmo.xtra.co.nz. pop3.tmo.xtra.co.nz has address 210.55.143.65 . So it seems it is their own servers configured to not accept connections from older clients.
