Xcelsius uses MS Excel as a base to create Interactive Dashboards. Xcelsius does not support all the functions available in MS Excel. I have put together the list of MS Excel functions that are supported by Xcelsius 2008. This list can also be found in Xcelsius User's Guide. Following is the List.

When formulas work in Excel and not in Xcelsius its because you are probably using them in a very complicated way that is NOT supported by the tool (lots of nesting and embedding falls under this criteria). Excel is simply a visualization tool, though many mistake it for some complex formula driven utility. Hope this helps! Xcelsius Gurus

Oct 22, 2010 · Sadly, it seems Xcelsius 2008 does not support these functions, which would really simplify working with this tool. Is there an update for Xcelsius that includes support for these functions? Is there perhapse a workaround, that would resolve the need for these functions?

The problem is: is it possible to update automatically the pivot table as the data source change? I know it is possible to update pivot table using Visual Basic code but I know it doesn't work in xcelsius.
