Apr 22, 2012 · As far as I am aware, the native mail client in Win 8 CP DOES NOT explicitly support POP3 servers. I did see a post where someone shows how to set up Hotmail to pull mail from your POP3 server. I installed Thunderbird with no problems and have all my POP3 mail in there.

Nov 21, 2012 · Second the above. It was silly for Microsoft to not include suport for POP3 using the default mail client in Windows 8, but short of Microsoft including a hotfix or someone creating a patch for the program, there isn't much we can do. I would suggest using another mail client.

Aug 27, 2015 · Windows 8 and 8.1 also didn't support POP3 emails. I have had to go around to Yahoo to access my email account. I can receive emails but not send them.
