However if you rather want to attach all disks as single disks on the hba and make use of dynamic disks and create a raid array that way you can run into limitations of which options are available.

Oct 17, 2009 · Does the final RTM Windows 7 support SOFTWARE RAID-1 (dynamic disk mirroring)? I know it supports fake-raid and hardware raid but I want to use software raid because my disks are of different size. I don't want to try it myself since I would have to convert my disks to dynamic. Windows Vista didn't support it. XP had it disabled but could be hacked.
