But that doesn't really matter for you since VT-d, is not supported under Vmware Workstation [...] VT-d can potentially bring some performance improvement, as its goal is to allow virtual machines to use hardware devices without extra handling from the host.

Sep 21, 2014 · For Virtual Machines, VT feature can be enabled by adding vhv.enable="TRUE" in vmx config file or it can be enabled from web client as said above. But virtual Pheonix BIOS CMOS setup of VM will not provide any option to enable or disable VT feature. Only on physical servers we have an option to enable or disable VT feature in BIOS CMOS setup. Since McAfee DD doesn't virtualize VT-x, hardware-assisted virtualization is not available to the nested hypervisor (VMware Workstation). Without hardware-assisted virtualization, you can't run a 64-bit guest OS on Intel hardware with a VMware product.

Ideally, the appliance you copy would be setup without VT-x since you don't have that omn the new host, though again, I'm not sure of the degree to which a ported appliance carries the original settings because I don't know vmware.
