Oct 12, 2009 · In Vista, where do I create a new hardware profile? Note, this was possible in XP and thus I could select which of my hardware profiles to use during Windows start-up. I could then for each and every service say if that service was enabled or disabled per hardware profile.

Jan 25, 2007 · Actually, profiles work best with appropriate hardware support. Wnen this hardware is available, XP will create the profile automatically. An example of modern system that has such hardware support is Lenovo T60 with it's mini-dock.
