May 04, 2017 · @Knight526806, you should be able to import your obj and tga's although as qdelpeche pointed out with those links fbx support is much better then obj, you might want to think about importing your obj into a 3D app like blender and then exporting to fbx.

Animation support in the FBX import pipeline provides a simple workflow for getting animations for skeletal meshes from 3D applications into Unreal for use in games. Currently, only a single animation for each skeletal mesh can be exported/imported in a single file.
This is usually due to an older game that FBX doesn’t support. In some cases, an anti-cheat application may be incorrectly blocking FBX – but FBX works great with the major anti-cheat apps, like Battleye, EasyAntiCheat and Punkbuster. Does Unreal Engine 4 support the Application Blender? I am a newbie to Unreal Engine 4 but not to UDK and past Epic Games products Unreal Tournament and their respective modification tools. I know that some artists in the industry view blender as crap. But it is quite the capable 3D modeling tool.
