Dec 01, 2015 · This reply from Tesco seems to imply that part of the problem may be due to the OTG cable instead of the real culprit which will probably be either the Hudl's hardware or its firmware drivers or both... USB devices don't just work "under Windows", they operate on ANY system that supports the various USB standards.

Oct 05, 2015 · FWIW and as someone has re-iterated elsewhere, I don't think that this is an Android issue "per se" but probably Tesco not wanting the support headaches that USB OTG may introduce in relation to the Hudl line because OTG has been supported natively in all builds of Android since KitKat so they are just making the statement "it's an unsupported function on the Hudl" to get themselves off the hook …

Jan 29, 2014 · I don't suppose anyone has any more info on this, had to get my Hudl swapped over as was not reading ANY micro SD cards, new one has come with the most up to date firmware, rooted it fine with Kingo but for some reason i can't seem to use any OTG features using either an OTG cable or OTG USB hub/card reader without power or with, this is my first android device so i'm not 100% clued up …

Dec 17, 2015 · Got a reply from Tesco on Twitter saying Android does not 'officially' support OTG technologies and there will be no fix. File Commander has supported this technology since I got it and still support it on my phone. Not sure this representative knows what he is talking about.
