Aug 17, 2013 · It existed 8 years ago, but just barely (certification began one year before the PSP came out). At the time the PSP was created, WPA2 was not in use in homes, so there was no need to support it. Metoroid0 likes this.

Oct 10, 2007 · if i still need WPA-PSK [TKIP] then bah leave it i wont use my psp on my wireless not big deal when i got 3 wired computers to use for the internet, just woundering reason im asking this instead of not turning on psp is because psp is out of battery cba to charge up to just test! :p. In order to connect your computer to a WPA2 network, you need to provide a unique password. If you're attempting to connect your Sony PSP to the network you will still have to provide that password to get the device connected. Oct 16, 2008 · My psp will not work with WPA2 PERSONAL AES but will work if i set my router to WPA2 PERSONAL TKIP+AES im running the lastest *cough*unofficial *cough* firmware I would keep it on but since i never use psp for internet theres not point seeing as the wii only supports WPA - PSK (TKIP) WPA - PSK (AES) WPA2 - PSK (AES)

Mar 10, 2013 · The PSP does not support WPA2, and there's nothing you can do about it from the PSP's side. You'd have to change your router settings to WPA at least.

May 28, 2013 · Best Answer: I have been connecting my PSP to my WPA2-PSK network since I have bought it. It never creates a problem. Although you can change your Modem's settings to WEP if it does not work with WPA2. To change modem's settings, open its domain by writing 192.168.1.1 in your browser from your PC.

Jan 10, 2007 · for future questions about psp and what wireless encryption it supports, it will support both versions of WPA2. Evidently their is someone near my house with a WPA(PSK) wireless encrypted signal, when i tried to connect it prompted me to enter the key.
