    Jan 02, 2008 · YES the ps2 supports 1080i but does not support anything over 480p. You need the component video cable (Red Green Blue) but only a handful of games support 1080i (no game supports 720p) Gran Turismo 4(1080i) ATV Offroad Fury II (480p) ...both are considered HD formats.

MVP2004 Burnout 3 Tekken 4 Socom II Ratchet and Clank I, II, and III Jak and Daxter II, and III Are a few games on PS2 that support Pro Scan.     Jun 05, 2009 · No, the PS2 does not support HDMI. The PS2 slim is older than HDMI. It's not even capable of HD resolutions! Your TV should come with A/V jacks (the red/white/yellow ones). If it doesn't come with those it is not deserving of the title "TV". However, the PS3 does support full 1080p HD. Consider getting one.
