Windows 10 has native support for .mov however Picasa does not seem to recognize that support and as of now Apple does not allow you to install Quicktime on to Windows 10. The option to enable .mov in Picasa is greyed out as a result and can't see or import .mov files now to Picasa.

May 10, 2016 · Apple recently discontinued support for Quicktime, and if QT is uninstalled, Picasa will no longer show MP4s unless an external codec is installed. I have found that installing the Klite basic package works, but it looks like dozens of codecs are installed, which I'm wary of (I have since done a rollback of my system to pre-Klite).

That means you need to install some sort of codec support to be able to play .mov files inside your Wine system that includes Picasa. For that I recommend to try either any Windows plugin pack that has .mov files or a lite Quicktime alternative (the standard player wont install).

Mar 22, 2014 · However, rather than shifting video files back and forth, I think the simplest solution to get Picasa to re-process the video files is to go into Tools–>Options–>File Types and unselect the Videos and QuickTime Movies options, OK it, wait for a bit, then go back there and re-select the Videos and QuickTime Movies options.
