The reason I wanted to find number of pages in RTF document is to programatically determine if there are any odd page breaks (pagination issues) in RTF documents. It becomes difficult to visually find the odd page breaks when working with large RTF files.

Oct 29, 2013 · Then to see if .rtf extensions should be opened in IE you could enter: assoc .rtf. and see if the file type shown is one of the ones that you found with the first command pipeline. Since you have Office installed you probably have Word and will probably see that .rtf is associated with that program.

Feb 19, 2018 · I just use Notepad open it and copy content from it to a new blank Word document, save it as rtf format. And the new file can be opened. As other rtf files work properly and you mentioned there are lots of coding in that file, if you still cannot open the file via re-creating it.
