My current favorite thing to program in is Notepad++, but the default version does not support Prolog, which I am now learning in one of my classes. Is there a plugin for that? Alternatively, can you recommend another text editor (I don't use IDEs that much) that supports the Prolog language?

Prolog does not support global variables. The closest you'll come is facts in the database, such as val_of_a/1 in my answer, which you can update dynamically using assert/retract predicates. This is generally considered a bad way to program in Prolog. Ideally, you should aim to use local variables instead, if possible. – sharky Sep 28 '14 at 7:20

May 11, 2011 · I'm a relative new user to using Notepad++ and so far I really love it. The one thing I'm really missing at the moment though is HTML5 and CSS3 support. I understand that if you replace the "langs.xml" file with one that was made with HTML5 and CSS3 keywords added that that would work. I have tried to do this without any success.
