It happens because in these OSes, the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) based device driver for the graphics card does not support the running of DOS video modes. There is no simple solution to this no support for full screen window in Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Mar 27, 2011 · When I run 16-bit DOS-based fullscreen programs in Windows 7, it always jump out a dialog, saying, "This systen does not support fullscreen mode. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application". The program will stop whether I choose "Close" or "Ignore". I have a lot of applications programmed by Turbo C 2.0.

Sep 13, 2011 · Thanks for comment but the DOSBOX is not all, DOSBOX have little problem with dos resident applications like Print2File or Persian Printer Converters. DOSBOX is a DOS Emulator for games and that's not fully supported of networking and printing and DOS office applications. In this situations you need to have a FreeDOS, DR. DOS or MS-DOS yet.

Right click on the icon, select 'Compatibility', tick Run this program in compatibility mode for...and start with XP. If that doesn't work, move down the line. Or conversely, you can just tick 'Run in 640x480 screen resolution to see it that at least gets the game to run.

Jul 04, 2009 · DOS application won't run in fullscreen mode with integration features. This is a known limitation. From tools menu --> Disable integration features and try again. This should allow DOS application to run in full screen mode.
