Feb 25, 2010 · "It will not come as a surprise that the Nikon D60 supports the Secure Digital and SDHC memory cards. Nikon changed a while ago from CompactFlash to the small memory card, at least for part of the SLR assortment. This format memory card is a worldwide standard and is available with various speeds and storage capacities.

May 04, 2013 · The 'size' of SDHC card that a Nikon D60 camera will *handle* depends on who programmed the software for the camera. If you like to experiment, then try the largest SDHC card you can find, but if you lose your images -- it won't be the camera's fault.

As noted in Nikon's knowledgebase, the D60 supports SDHC cards, but implicitly not SDXC (as SDXC is never mentioned in the page). This isn't surprising as the D60 was released in January 2008 and the SDXC standard was announced in January 2009. The SDHC standard has a largest possible size of 32 GB, hence your 64 GB card must be an SDXC card and is not compatible with your camera.

Jan 18, 2011 · I'm having trouble finding if the D7000 can support SDHC UHS-I cards. There's so many different specs out there right now between read/write speed, class, and SD-whatever, it's hard to tell.

I've been seeing mixed reviews on the Nikon D60 where some people say it can support an SDHC 32 gig card while others say it can only support either a 4 gig or an 8 gig card… Could anyone tell me what's fact and what's fiction? also… Just to specify… I'm planning to purchase a Sandisk card… I just don't know what my camera can and can't ...

The bad news, is that the Nikon D90 currently does not support the SDXC memory. Since the physical interface between SDHC and SDXC cards is the same, Nikon might be able to support SDXC in D90 by releasing a firmware update that can read the SD 3.0 specification.

Jun 06, 2019 · Absolutely not! I called Nikon several years ago asking about whether cards larger than 2GB could be used and was told by Nikon's tech. support that it was unlikely but possible, since the D50's firmware supports the FAT32 file system. I bought a 4GB Transcend SD card (regular SD, not SDHC) and it worked, sort of. The D50 will NOT format 4GB cards.

Sep 21, 2009 · The only Nikon DSLR that uses SD memory cards but is not SDHC-compatible is the very first one: the D50. Other than that, from the D80 and on, every Nikon DSLR that uses SD card is compatible with 16G SDHC cards.
