The PS3 only supports 802.11b or g, so N-Only mode is a No-go. If you have a wireless-N router, it needs to be set to "Mixed" or "Mixed-BG" mode or the PS3 won't connect to it, much less see the SSID.

Apr 25, 2008 · I checked the Linksys website and under one of their Wireless N Routers there was this comment: (Up to 9 times faster than Wireless-G, but also works great with Wireless-G and -B devices) which the PS3 supports IEEE G and B.

Mar 10, 2013 · I was reading that apparently if you get a wireless N router and connect it to the ps3 and set it up as an access point that will allow n speeds. Did I read that correctly? I can't believe they don't have an official N adapter for the ps3 like the microsoft does for the xbox 360. Or do they and I haven't found a link for it yet?
