Yes, the drive controller your PC has supports SATA III drives. Even if it didn't a SATA III SSD would work just fine, albeit at the SATA II speed. BTW...I have 4 of those very same SSD's...two in my HP notebook PC's and two in my HP desktop PC's.

Aug 23, 2011 · Best Answer: Doesnt state what SATA version that motherboard uses but since it has the Intel H67 chipset which supports two sata III on motherboard,then chances are you have two SATA III ports. Even if it doesnt have SATA III but only SATA II it will be backwards compatible it just means any SATA III device will only run at SATA II speeds.
