    What I suspect here is the SATA cable is on the edge (this is a known issue in this series). I would replace it with a newer rev cable.     I bought the cable that you recommend but it is the 821-1480-A. However, I didn't see a speed increase in the link to the hard disk on my macbook pro mid 2010. It remained at 3 gigabits which does not allow me to install OS-X Yosemite and installation stagnates when there are 12 minutes. Amusingly, it is the same SSD HyperX Savage 480 GB SATA III.
