May 28, 2013 · The support article above suggests that an Exchange connection from Outlook 2011 for Mac is possible. I tried setting up an Exchange connection for Mac OS X's Mail application and got similar results. Ironically, I don't have any problems setting this up on IOS devices - only on the Mac OS itself with Outlook or Mail.

Mar 23, 2014 · One caveat to note is that programs such as Outlook 2011 or the new Mail.app do not support Exchange 2003 if they support Exchange 2007/2010. (Outlook 2011 does not support Exchange 2003 at all) Microsoft changed from webdav to EWS with 2007, and most clients don't support both.

Oct 08, 2018 · Of these the iPhone/iPad support EAS, Apple Mail supports EWS, Outlook 2008/2011 for Mac support EWS, Outlook 2010 for Windows supports MAPI, and Outlook 2013 for Windows supports MAPI to talk to MS Exchange and EAS to talk to Hotmail/Outlook.com. As far as I am aware Outlook 2013 for Windows does not support EAS for connecting to MS Exchange.

Jan 24, 2016 · Can you provide some specifics as to how you added the Outlook.com account as Exchange in the Internet Accounts? The reason I ask, is my wife's account must be one that has moved over to O365 as her IMAP access no longer works but EAS does on her iPhone/iPad as does EAS from Outlook 2016. But she would rather use Mac Mail.
