My Primary Router is a Verizon FiOS router. It doesn't "seem" to be working. Should I be able to log into the Extended router when it's properly set up? I can't.

Feb 13, 2005 · This is possible using 3rd party firmware (sveasoft) which allows the wrt54g to operate in "client" mode, where it forwards packets from its connected devices to the main wireless router, using a wireless link. I got my wrt54g running in client mode - that is, it serves as a bridge between a PC attached to it and the main wireless router.

You want a wireless bridge like the Linksys WET54G. 3rd party firmware on the WRT54G may allow you to configure the WRT as bridge. Linksys firmware does not support it. The WAP54G should be accessible from a wired connection while it's wired to your network.

Dec 26, 2011 · Well with the Linksys firmware none of the Linksys router can be configured as bridged. Since the Linksys router do not have WDS. WDS may also be referred to as repeater mode because it appears to bridge and accept wireless clients at the same time (unlike traditional bridging).
