Jun 12, 2012 · That's a sick setup, but if you're running quad SLI you might benefit from an Ivy Bridge chip and a Z77 mobo so that you can run PCIE 3.0. Other than that I have set up Nvidia surround before and connecting monitors to both cards is completely fine (and often necessary).

It seems that the drivers disable the native PCIE 3.0 on the motherboard and that it is only available in Ivy bridge Z77.
