Feb 03, 2008 · Best Answer: It sure does, all modern CPU's support DEP (I disabled it on mine as it kept crashing explorer). Hardware Virtualisation was supported on all intel E6xxx's and as the Q6xxx's are newer and are essentially two of the E6xxx's in a single package, it would also support Hardware Virtualisation.

May 12, 2011 · Is it due to the different OS (Q9300 is running Win7 HP 64-bit SP1, Q6600 is running XP 32-bit), or is something else going on? Edit: Also, CoreTemp reports a VID of 1.3v, and CPU-Z says that the vcore is 1.216v, under full 4-core prime95 load.

All Nehalem and later processes have EPT support as part of VT-x. In the Intel product catalog, look for processors with the name format iX-XXX (e.g., i5-XXX). Q9400 doesn't have it because it is based on Core2. You might also try searching Microsoft's Web site for a Hyper-V HCL (hardware compatibility list).
