Aug 10, 2016 · can animated gifs be seen Only the Original will be in gif format, so you need to go to the All Sizes page and click on the "Original". The photo page will only show up as a Jpeg. ED. I believe there is a feature request on User Voice to display the gif as animated on the photo page. Yes, here it is:

Apr 01, 2005 · the Flickr image will be static but the image in the comments box should be animated. Alternatively you could purchase a Pro account from Flickr, which is much simplier and does seem worth it given the benefits. I have since got a Pro account which allows you to upload animated GIFs and also view your stats which is great.
